  • THIS LEMON IS REALLY SOUR!!

As planned the van went to the panel beater on Tuesday. Unfortunately once the paint was removed, we discovered the extent of the rust was A LOT worse then anyone expected. The panel beater has deemed the van 'uneconomical to repair'.

As you can imagine, Sophie and Jimmy were distressed to hear this news and arrived back to us unsure what their next step should be.

After a night of kiwi hospitality at a generous local's house, and some phone calls by us, things started looking up.

We have managed to find another van that is fit for the challenge of driving the country. A working bee is planned at STR Automotive on Saturday 29 July to fit-out the new van. In the meantime, our generous local has extended their offer of accommodation for as long as needed.

All funds raised by this Give-A-Little cause will now be put towards the cost of the new van and getting Sophie and Jimmy's holiday plans back on track.

YOUR SUPPORT IS STILL VERY MUCH NEEDED.
