The Big Buzz Festival is an annual free fun filled family friendly event with the objective of celebrating the honey bee within a sustainable NZ environment and promoting healthy living. By celebrating the honey bee, ethical beekeeping practices, NZ honey and its by products, the festival aims to bring everyone together for a day of discovery, taste and awareness.
The Big Buzz Festival Trust is established to advance education and conservation by organising and running a festival focused on bees and bee products with the objectives of: (i) advancing the public's understanding of the importance of bees to a healthy eco-system; (ii) increasing awareness of the effects of climate change and agricultural practices on the health of bee populations; (iii) educating the public on the benefits of honey and bee products to health and wellbeing; (iv) connecting local and regional bee enthusiasts, conservationists, environmentalists, ecologists, health practitioners, sustainable gardeners and plant specialists and all environmentally conscious members of the public to foster collaboration to support and promote practices that support healthy pollinator populations. the festival aims to bring everyone together for a fun filled day of discovery, taste and awareness

With the advent of COVID funding is proving to be quite difficult and we need help to make this wonderful new festival happen. Your support will help with infrastructure costs for the festival (tents, generators, stages, audio equipment, etc)
