Today Callum and I ran the Taranaki Daily News Half Marathon. It was a nice course but quite hilly. Callum grabbed a picture of me finishing. So, now I have done two half marathons this year. I just need to put them together for the full distance on 1 November!

Last weekend Callum and I ran the 5 Bridges Half Marathon in Petone. It was a great event alongside the Hutt river and I improved on my previous PB for the half marathon by around 18 minutes, coming in just under the 2 hour mark. Callum also ran a new PB, coming in well before me and managed to snap a shot of me boosting to the finish.

  • Running up hills

I have been trying to incorporate hills into my training as much as possible, because the Auckland Marathon is front loaded with them. This is hard work, but does make for some pretty stunning views (and a few snapchat breaks)!

  • Wellington Marathon 10km

      7 July 2015

On Sunday 5 July I did the 10km at the Wellington Marathon as my first warm up event on the road to the Auckland marathon.

Highlights: It was a stunner of a day in Wellington for the race (apart from a bit of wind) and I ran a PB, doing the 10km in under an hour for the first time.

Lowlights: A man running in front of me at the 4km mark blew his nose and we were running into the wind ... very gross.

Pictured: myself and my brother Callum after the race (Callum ran the half marathon).

  • New Station in Kapiti for Wellington Free Ambulance

      27 June 2015

Wellington Free Ambulance is currently fundraising for $1m to build a new station in Kapiti - target completion date April 2016.

The Kapiti Coast community is growing and the tiny 2 bedroom house that WFA is currently based in no longer meets current demands. Yet another great reason to donate.

For more information see the following links:
