Camp Quality is a voluntary organisation dedicated to bringing fun, hope and happiness to children (aged 5-16 years) living with cancer.

Each year through the commitment of more than 750 volunteers, Camp Quality delivers fun programmes for around 300 children including, week-long summer camps, reunion days, winter camps and social outings.

Before camp each child is assigned a trained companion: a 24/7 buddy, who gives them one-on-one support throughout the term of camp and beyond.

Aged over 18, companions are positive, cheerful, enthusiastic, responsible, energetic people whose role is to ensure that each child has a wonderful experience. The training our volunteers receive provides fantastic leadership development.

Many voluntary hours are spent raising funds for the programme and training costs. There is no cost to families of children attending Camp Quality and there is no cost for companions to attend our training.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
