New Zealand Women's Lacrosse World Cup

We are the National Women’s Lacrosse Team. Please help us get to the World Cup, make it into the top 5 and put New Zealand Lacrosse on the map!

The NZBLAX are a group of New Zealand female athletes ready to take on the world. We are the National Women’s Lacrosse Team, and we are proud to represent New Zealand in the world’s fastest team game on two feet.

We are currently ranked 11th in the world, and we have a bold goal to break into the top 5 at the 2017 World Cup in Guildford, England. At this competition 30 teams will be competing.

We have the grit, passion, talent and work-ethic to reach this goal and a solid training programme including one of the most professional coaching teams of any amateur sport in New Zealand. We have spent the past two years building a world-class team, and now we are looking for kind Kiwis to get behind us as we prepare to showcase our skills at the highest level.

It will cost us each player approximately $10,000 to get to World Cup in UK. That is on top of equipment and travel expenses required to be in the training squad and take part in warm-up competitions in Melbourne and California during 2016.

$325 pays for the World Cup playing uniform for 1 player.

$650 pays for a team training weekend

$2500 pays for physio supplies for 6 months

$3500 covers the flight a single player to the World Cup.

$5000 pays for our World Cup competition entry fees.

$10,000 covers all the World Cup costs for single player.

As amateur sports women, none of us are paid and we all juggle training six days a week with jobs, study, family and fundraising. Your support will help us retain the talent and depth of skill we need in our squad as we get ready to take on the world.
