My name is Charlie-May Clarke and I have been selected to compete at the 2019 Beach Volleyball Under 21 Asian Championships in Thailand. The tournament is in March from the 14th-16th. I am needing to raise $4500.00 NZD to compete at the tournament. This will be my first time representing New Zealand and my whanau are very proud of me. I am very excited albeit a little nervous but I'm sure that all the hard work practicing, my commitment to my chosen sport and many sacrifices I've had to make will allow me to compete at my very best. I am very grateful for this huge opportunity.
I have thoroughly enjoyed playing volleyball for the last six years including...
- Tikipunga High School (2013-2016)
- Interprovincial Champs for Northland and Waikato regions (2015- present)
- Hamilton Volleyball Club (2017- present)
- University of Waikato (2017- present)
I am 19 years of age. I grew up in Whangarei but am now living in Hamilton. I study full-time at the University of Waikato pursuing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Animal Behaviour. In the future I hope to work in conservation helping the survival of endangered species. I also hope to travel the world representing my country in volleyball before turning my hand to coaching and administration of this great game.
It would mean a lot to me if you were to donate some money to get me to the tournament representing my country in Thailand.
If you are interested in sponsoring me, contact me via email. charliemayclarke19@gmail.com
The costs will cover team entry fee, travel, travel insurance, accommodation, meals, clothing for official and competition purposes and administrative, managerial and structural support.
Any surplus amount will go towards other volleyball tournaments.
