Help us make a difference!
Taranaki
Rescue is both mentally challenging and also physically challenging...
Mentally because we deal everyday with hard cases, people not wanting their beloved pets, abuse, blackmail, and seeing animals suffer horrible medical problems. Most of which could have been avoided with just desexing...
Some of our kitties who have been with us along time we look at and wonder why these beautiful souls are always overlooked. Some have medical conditions that are no problem, some have the sniffles that will never go away, but still are beautiful loving cats.
Then there are the ones we can't help the ones let down by people, dumped to fend for themselves, to birth kittens with no human contact who then are completely wild, feral and nasty
Physically it can be hard too... Feeding, water and working with foster cats, working, driving (and boy do we do alot of driving), dropping traps, shop donations, organising desex deals, registering cats, all while trying to keep a tidy home.
Mental 2023 Challenge will be a Sky Dive (and seriously I'm the last person who wants to jump from a plane!!)
Physical 2023 Challenge a Summit Climb to the top of Mt Taranaki (I have lived here my whole life and never done this... and there will need to be training... lots and lots of training!)
If we can get donations to $15,000 I will (GULP) DO BOTH...
$20,000 and I'll do it all in a cat costume!
Taranaki Animal Protection Trust helps the abandoned, stray, unwanted cats and kittens of Taranaki.
The trust has grown so much in the last two years that to really make a difference in the community we need to raise funds to rehab more cats and kittens, work on higher numbers for desexing and go towards research, and support for the very sick.
