A massive earthquake (M7.6) hit my hometown, Ishikawa prefecture, Japan. Over 100 people have been confirmed to be killed, many are still missing, many are evacuating. The following tsunami and fires also destroyed towns. You can find more details in https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/jan/02/japan-earthquakes-tsunami-alert-dropped-but-residents-told-not-to-return-to-homes .
I'd never imagined to see the place I was born and grew up in worldwide news in such a sad way.
My best friend's house which was built 2 years ago also got destroyed.
Lots of people in my hometown are craving for help and I'd really love to go back there and help them, but I can't. So I'd like to send them money and loves that I raised here in NZ.

I will send them to two places. One is <Think The DAY>(https://thinktheday.org/), an organisation I trust for spending money in the most effective way. The other one is to my best friend, Ayame Watanabe, whose house got destroyed.
Thanks heaps, Simon!! Not only this, but also sweets for fundraising 😭
