24Hrs of fitness - A Fundraiser for the Muscular Distrophy Association and Phillips Search and Rescue trust NZ.

Waikato

We are hosting a charity throwdown (day of fitness events). It will be open to anyone and everyone of all abilities with all proceeds going to the Northern Branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and to the Philips Search and Rescue Trust of NZ.

On the hour every hour a new workout will commence for the the full 24 hour period. There will be a mixture of indiviual and team events as well as some fun and non-CrossFit specific workouts.

A group of us will be going the whole hog for 24hrs but others are encourage to come down at any time for a workout.

The event will be held at CrossFit 3216 - Claudelands Road, Hamilton.

James Connew's involvement (page creator)

We are involved because we are trying to get behind the community and give back, kids with muscular distrophy will likely not be able to experience what we do every day at CrossFit due to the progressive weakening and wasting of the muscles and the Phillips Search and Rescue helicopters provides rapid response service and air health search and rescue services free of charge to the public.

Also we have family directly effected by Muscular Distrophy.
