27 year old Fathers 3rd open heart surgery

Demetrias is currently recovering from his 3rd open heart surgery.

He had his first surgery to have his aortic valve replaced when he was 16 years old after having rheumatic fever in childhood.

This is his second heart surgery in the last 12months - due to the nature of his job recovery time for Demetrias is 12 weeks each time.

Demetrias will have in total been off work for 7months within just over a year span this has been spent in hospital, having surgery & recovering from these 2 very invasive heart surgery's.

One in November 2022 & one in Aug 2023.

Demetrias' re-do surgery this Aug was due to a serious infection in his heart called endocarditis, which he has been on IV antibiotics for 24/7 for, the surgeons also found that his heart valve surgery from November 22 wasn't successful due to stitches not being placed correctly within the valve replacement.

We are still awaiting results from tests done from surgery, on why the infection happened with results to come around a month after surgery.

We have 4 beautiful children and the stress and strain of this last year has been huge on our family - We have faith in Jesus & have huge support from our Church family.

God and our Church has provided for us greatly so we know we are blessed but we can't continue to ignore the loss we have taken financially.
