Running 50kms to help save Street Children in Bangladesh

    Shaun ran 53km in the end and is very tired. He is so happy about the amount raised for the children in Bangladesh.

    Thank you so much for donating to this amazing cause. At least 75 children will be feed, educated and counseled through this centre for a whole year just thanks to the donations in this page. This gives them a real chance to have a future away from severe poverty which they wouldn't have otherwise.

    Here is an image of an exhausted but elated Shaun straight after his run.

  • Nearly time to run 50kms

    It's only two days away before Shaun goes on the biggest run of his life. He is excited and nervous however, believes he will be fine.

    I want to say a massive thank you to all who have donated! The money raised so far is going to feed and educate many children who live on the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh. If you know anyone who is wanting to donate to a great cause, please share this Givealittle page with them.

    Also, if you want to cheer Shaun on, I invite you to come to Graham Park by the Waikareao Estuary on Saturday from 8am to help him run 50kms!

  • Only 11 days left!

    Shaun is still hard at work training for his run. However, he is giving his body a little break from the punishing schedule so that he doesn't burn out.

    Here's a photo of Shaun after a 32km run that he completed in 3 hours.

    We have had an update from the director of International Needs Bangladesh, Mac. He has informed us that three of his relatives are in hospital with Covid-19 and this virus is very much still plaguing that country and causing more children to be forced onto the streets.

    I wanted to say a massive thank you for all your generous donations! This will make a huge difference in many vulnerable children's lives.

    Shaun is still training hard during lockdown including running 78kms locally last week alone.

    With only 25 days to go, Shaun is determined to be ready for this run, even if the weather isn't great.

  • Shaun's feeling sore, but ready!

    Shaun has completed 45kms this week so far in training which is a little less than normal. However, he believes he is ready to "beat the 50kms".

    Because of Covid-19, children abandoned onto the streets in Bangladesh due to poverty has increased and also, more children are forced into bonded labour.

    We, like you, feel desperate to help in any way possible to give these children hope for a future. It costs $9.97 per week to support a child to be feed and educated so every donation has an amazing impact!

  • 34km Training Run

    Shaun has completed a training run of 34kms over the weekend in training for his 50km run! He's putting in the hard work and believes he will be ready. Hopefully we raise over 50k so he has to run 100kms ;)

    We've also heard from Bangladesh which is in lockdown and the children at the Drop in Centre are struggling. They need more support then ever.
