Our current vessel has over 4,000 running hours on her and it is now time for her to be placed with a Coastguard Unit with less demand.

We are the third busiest unit in the country and lives depend on our readiness for action.

About us

Around the coast, Coastguard volunteers stand ready to assist those in need on the water. Launching in our strategically located rescue vessel based at Howick beach our people will do everything they can to save a life.

In addition to our rescue service, we work hard to provide boaties with the information and knowledge they need to enjoy our waters safely.
