Fundraising for the Protection of the Eastern Chimpanzee Habitat and Youth Education in Rwanda
International
Support a Rwandan initiative. Educate youth & save the chimpanzee!
My own contribution:
In July this year, I'll fly to Rwanda to volunteer for two weeks for the NGO "Partners for Conservation". I have bought my flight ticket, malaria tablets (haha) and paid a donation.
I am the first volunteer from New Zealand at this NGO. "Partners for Conservation" is excited about a relationship with a new country.
Why donate?
Since 2014, "Partners for Conservation" has been working on several projects to improve the life quality of the poor communities around the town of Musanze, and to protect the habitat of the endangered Eastern Chimpanzee and the golden monkey.
I have decided to fundraise for ONE of their projects.
The goal of this project is: To establish a nursery at a school (Groupe Scolaire Kibara - see map) in the Gishwati-Mukura Biosphere Reserve, to provide environmental education, food resilience and to engage in tree planting in the buffer zone around Africa's newest national park.
For more information about the project, Rwanda and the Chimpanzees, check out my Facebook page. If you follow me, you will also be able to see future updates which I will post while in Rwanda. (see link below)
I've also provided a link to the NGO's website page for you to have a look at their past efforts.
I would really appreciate if you could make a donation (worth the value of a donut ... or more, hahaha.....) Thank you for stopping by!!! Stefanie
Employed as a volunteer worker at the NGO
Donations will support the NGO's conversation project in partnership with Groups Scolaire Kibara. Establishing a school nursery: tree seedlings, seeds, wheelbarrows, watering cans, projector, flip charts, notebooks, timber, nails, organic manures
