A tragic loss of beloved horse to colic
Vet bill for deceased horse, lost to tragic colic complications.

On the 6th June my beautiful boy Al (Allure) coliced, after 2 vet visits at home he was rushed to the equine hospital. He survived the night but the next day developed neurological issues and went blind. We all raced to the hospital and were with him as he passed.
Unfortunately the vet bills and burial totalled $5700.
I have been selling all his gear including his beautiful saddle that was made for him to clear the bills.
After 12 wonderful years together selling all his gear has been so very hard. But even with selling his gear and other items the bill has not been cleared. The vet is now charging interest which means the progress made by selling gear is being eaten away.
I have tried to do this alone but am resigned to the fact I need help, but it is hard to ask for.
One day I may ride again, but do not know if I could ever replace my beautiful boy.

Due to all your kindness I have managed to reduce the vet bill to $650 (excluding interest as I refuse to consider that as part of the bill).
My goal was to clear the bill by the end of the year and I am hopeful that I will make it. A few extra hours worked and some more sales and I'll be there.
