Family facing unexpected extra costs from a major car accident.

Mike and family were returning from a Sallies Congress in Hamilton when they were involved in a major car accident on the 29th Sept south of Taupo that hit the news.

Mike was airlifted to Hamilton Hospital while the rest of the family went by ambulance to Taupo Hospital. While their car was insured and ACC will contribute to medical costs, they incurred significant costs in getting flights back to Christchurch.
I've known Mike since 1986 and he is a strong community advocate whether in the Sallies, school boards and local community organisations. I'm hoping others will now help him.

Use of funds
Recouping some or all of the $2150 in the immediate added costs and if necessary in defending himself against any charges.
