A Computer for Freelance Work!

Hello! My name is Susannah and I have been out of work for longer than desirable. I have decided to pursue freelance work with the hope of growing into a larger business in the future to help others who are struggling to find work.

My area of interest is events videography, and I am fortunate enough to have all of the camera equipment I need to at least start working in the field. That, however, can not be said for my computer, which is over a decade old and crashes/shuts down when I use my video editing software to do even basic tasks. I was hoping I could simply replace one or two components of my computer to resolve this issue, but given how technology has advanced so much over the last decade, the modern computer components are not compatible with my old ones, so I will need to replace the entire computer.

Video editing and visual effects (4-6k resolution) are very demanding for a computer, so this means the computer needs to be rather powerful (which comes with a large price tag). The surge in demand for AI software has also led to a shortage of computer supplies, particularly GPU's, therefore, their prices are currently overinflated. Given that I have been out of work for a significant period of time (due to chronic health complications), I do not have the necessary funds to buy what I need. I am hugely grateful for any help towards my goal.
