In the Marlborough Sounds there are approx 15 AEDs ( defibrillators ), but none are accessible in the outer Pelorus Sounds for locals, holidaymakers or fishermen and few are accessible 24/7 all year round.
We have been asked to help locate an all weather, 24/7 accessible defibrillator, on the wharf at The Lodge at Te Rawa. This defibrillator will be the property of the local people, and The Lodge at Te Rawa will be the caretakers.
We are hoping to raise enough money from our generous visitors, customers and neighbours to put one in place this summer and perhaps save a life.
The Lodge at Te Rawa will put the defibrillator on the wharf for easy access for anyone in the surrounding area.
