It has been almost 6 months since Beth’s death.

We have actively worked to bring Beth’s Heart Project to life, and can say with great satisfaction that due to your generosity we have achieved her vision of purchasing 500 ‘What Did You Learn Today?’ books.

Enough books to last several years. This is a massive achievement and an honourable way to remember Beth.

Thank you all for your support.

Beth had a magical ability to engage with children and the book is particularly orientated to assist families to talk about MND with children. The books are being distributed by MNDNZ, as part of the kit their invaluable support advisors in the community have to help families come to terms with MND and its progressive consequences.

The feedback to date is that it has been warmly received in bridging a resource gap.

All books have an insert written by Beth and to provide a New Zealand context.

Thankyou again for your contribution, faith and care for others, in enabling us to make this a success. As well as helping families affected by MND, project completion means a lot for our family.

Thanks to all you generous folk who have donated to Beth's givealittle website.

This heart project of Beth's means a lot, and is a fine tribute to Beth in allowing her to leave a legacy of assisting families to manage the perils of with living with MND.

Donations received have enabled the initial purchase of 100 books of "What Did You Learn Today" from America. An insert written by Beth was posted in the book to provide a NZ context (refer photo). The books have been given to MNDNZ to pass onto families who are currently dealing with the life changing effects of living with MND.

There is money left over to purchase more books, with the aim of 500 books. The books are a material help for MNDNZ in delivering exceptional care for those affected by MND.

Thanks again for your generosity in making this project happen.

Doug, Anita, Eloise & Calvin Watson
