Supporting a wonderful mother, wife, sister, friend and hairdresser. Any help for Tricia and her family during this time would mean so much.
Auckland
With heavy hearts, we share that Patricia—known to many as Pat or Tricia—has been diagnosed with terminal cancer following major surgery. On 3 April, she was moved into North Shore Hospice, where she is now receiving specialist care, surrounded by her family.
Pat is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend—someone who has always given so much of herself to those around her. After moving to New Zealand from South Africa in 2019, hoping for a brighter future and new opportunities for her and her family, this is far from the life they could ever have imagined.
For over five years, Tricia (known by most of her clients) has also been a much-loved hairdresser on the North Shore, helping so many women feel beautiful and confident through her incredible skills and warm care. She has touched the lives of many, both in her work and in her everyday life. This diagnosis has come as a sudden and heartbreaking shock to all who know her, and sadly, she has been given very little time.
This page has been created to help ease some of the practical pressures her family is facing. Funds raised will help support immediate day-to-day needs, allowing her family to spend as much time with her as possible.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, simply sharing this page or holding Tricia and her family in your thoughts and prayers would mean so much.
We are workmates of Tricia's immediate family.
Funds raised will help support immediate day-to-day needs, allow her family to spend as much time as possible with her without the stress of work and financial burdens, and assist with the costs of a special farewell when the time comes.
In Loving Memory of Patricia 22 April 2025
It is with deep sadness that we share that Pat has peacefully passed, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband Basel, and their beloved children Keenan and Morgan.
Pat was held close by not only her immediate family but also by her mother, mother-in-law, brother, and best friend, whose love and presence carried her through.
The family is eternally grateful for the generous support received from so many whose lives were touched by Pat. Your kindness has provided comfort in this time of profound sorrow, and they are deeply thankful for the love, prayers, and donations shared.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Pat’s family as they navigate this immense loss. Pat meant the world to them, and to so many who had the privilege of knowing her.
Thank you for continuing to hold them in your hearts.
