First up is a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who’s donated, shared and sent messages to Karen & Jase - your thoughts and generosity have been the wind beneath their wings to help them get back on track both emotionally and physically.
Where do they stand now?
It’s been stressful a couple of weeks at The Petfood Bank HQ with news that the initial funds (taken by the first tradie) are unlikely to be returned and more heavy rains damaging the roof further.
In their own words they’re ‘choosing not to let his actions define who they are, and what they’re here to do’.
They’ve reopened the food bank for emergency cases, set up a few extra buckets and called around to find a local reputable roofing company that’s has quoted $8,234 to get work under way.
With the reduced quote, remainder of their initial loan and the current total of the Give a Little - the new goal is to raise $1500 to get production under way.
We’re almost there!
We know it’s a still a lot and hope to break down that number into smaller, manageable pieces. If you’re in a position to donate, every $1 is appreciated!
