Our hope is to eliminate some stress and allow her the space and time to enjoy the rest of her life as she knows it

Mooks has been an inspirational women, sister, wife, mother, aunty, grandmother, great grandmother and friend throughout an amazing life she has fought for others now it’s our time to fight for her. The past year has been the hardest for Mooks, her family and friends who love her dearly.
In being diagnosed with stage four cancer , regrettably the practitioners have deemed her cancer incurable, so the last few months have consisted of tears & hospital trips from Whangarei to Auckland to aid in providing my Aunty Mooks with a better quality of life.
The operations will consist of the removal of three tumors found in her stomach, lungs and liver, with the future consisting of radiation and treatment in Auckland hospital. The pain has been intense with Mooks being on three types of morphine to allow some relief in her current position. My auntie’s life over night has changed dramatically and for everyone that knows her we sense her pain and her fears, we grieve and we too are all devastated.
She has been through so much this year and yet there is never a day she is not thinking selflessly and worrying about everyone else - everyone but herself. With a loving husband, three sons’ 17 grandchildren and four great grand children and one on the way she is rich in whanau but struggles to maintain the ongoing costs required for the countless trips, medications and visits to the Auckland hospital. It is our fear her time is consumed with stress additional pressure which equates to a unbearable sense of hopelessness. Our hope is to eliminate some stress and allow her the space and time to enjoy the rest of her life as she knows it.
So please help an amazing individual who through life has deserved so much more and given so much of herself without thought, in her time of need, by taking away the additional stress and concerns of financial pressures we can give back a tiny bit of what she has given to us.
Mooks is a survivor and although she has been through so much this year there is a never a day nor a minute were she does not amaze us through her strength and her courage.
I am Mooks's niece, although with a heavy heart i am doing this, i too am humbled with the opportunity to be able to help ease the burden
