"A Life Unimagined" - An Autobiography by Keren Maas

Its been a lifelong dream of mine to write a book and have it published. That dream had been pushed aside while my children were young and I was busy being a single Mum often working multiple jobs to provide for my family.

During lockdown God clearly spoke to me and told me to begin writing again. He wanted me to write my life story. So with plenty of time on my hands thats what I did. I spent several months writing the majority of my first draft.

My story is one of surviving the horrors of domestic violence, alcohol and drugs, a string of failed relationships which left me broken hearted and dejected, the struggles of being a single Mum, and living with depression and anxiety, to finding healing and hope through the love of Jesus.

I hope my book will help people who have been through, or are going through, similar struggles I experienced. The effects of abuse are long lasting and devastating ... but there is hope.

I have hired a writing mentor to help turn my first draft and 40 years of memories into a manuscript ready to be submitted for publishing. Unfortunately due to financial constraints I am only able afford to pay her for one hour of work each fortnight meaning progress is very slow and it could take several years until it is completed. Once the manuscript is finished I will then have the cost of publishing.

A friend suggested setting up a Give-a-Little page to help raise funds to get my book completed and published.
