A Beloved husband, father, grandfather- We will miss you

Update- Dad passed away this morning at 4.50am.

After 10 long years, my parents finally came to visit me here in New Zealand — a trip we had been dreaming of for so long. My father, ever so thoughtful and organised, made sure he had a full medical check-up before flying and even purchased travel insurance. They arrived on the 6th of this month, full of joy, laughter, and excitement. We were making precious memories together as a family.

But everything changed on the 21st.

My father suddenly began having trouble breathing, and I rushed him to the Emergency Department at Auckland Hospital. After scans and tests, the doctors found blood clots in his lungs — most likely a complication from the long-haul flight. He was admitted immediately and started treatment.

Just as we began to feel hopeful, our world turned upside down.

Last Tuesday, he suffered a brain haemorrhage. He was moved to the Critical Care Unit, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. Each day, he shows small signs of improvement — enough to give us hope.

His insurance cover has now been fully exhausted, and the costs are growing far beyond what we can manage alone.

This is the most difficult time our family has ever faced,, we’re reaching out with open hearts to ask for your help.
