In October, Pete was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Your donations allow him to spend more time with his young family.

On April 30, 2015, Pete Adams had a mole removed from his leg and it was tested for melanoma. The results came back clear.
But more than two years later he noticed a swollen lymph node and was admitted to hospital.
On October 10, 2017, he had the node removed. It tested positive for melanoma.
Further tests showed it was stage four melanoma that had spread to his lymph nodes, liver, spleen and lungs.
Pete has since learnt first mole was incorrectly diagnosed. Instead of being clear, it was believed to be a stage 1 melanoma which at that point hadn't spread to his lymph nodes.
He began immunotherapy using the funded drug Keytruda (pembrolizumab) last November.
But in March, he learnt the treatment had not been successful and the cancer was multiplying.
His only option now is to self-fund a drug called vemurafenib that will inhibit the cancer's growth at a cost of $10,000 a month.
Pete has been the sole income provider for his family after his partner Danyell had their daughter, Charlize, who is now two.
The treatment has drained his energy levels and made it difficult to carry out normal everyday activities.
Despite this, he is working as much as he can and his employer has been very supportive.
But support with treatment costs will allow Pete to spend more time with his family.
Please help us to raise the funds Pete and his family desperately need during this difficult time in their lives.
Pete is a good friend of mine who never asks for anything and I'd like to help support him and his family during this difficult time.
The funds raised will go towards the cost of Pete's treatment. Any additional funds will go towards living costs.
Pete and his family wish to thank you all. 30 July 2018
Pete passed away late July 2018. He never gave in and never blamed anyone for his misdiagnosis which had him fighting a heck of a battle.
With the funds donated here for him and his family it gave him hope and bought him the extra time to spend with his loving partner Danyell and wee girl Charlize.
They all thank you for your kind hearts and to receive donations gave them the added hope and a new lease of life. His spirits were lifted as he saw you all cared, we all saw you cared. Thank you again for your wonderful generosity. And Pete, Buddy...We all love you, so very very much. Bye Buddy xx
