A MOTHER'S FIGHT, HER DAUGHTERS' PLEA

$6,134 of $100,000 goal

Urgent fundraiser for our mum’s stroke care in NZ - rising medical bill, and possible medical evacuation home.

Orewa, Auckland

What began as a joyful reunion with my mum has unexpectedly become the most challenging chapter of our lives.

On June 18, 2025, during her third visit to New Zealand, our beloved Na suffered a devastating brain bleed, leading to a severe stroke affecting her left side. She now fights for her life in critical condition at Northshore Hospital in Takapuna.

Tragically, due to her longstanding battle with high blood pressure, Na was ineligible for travel insurance. The mounting medical bills and the potential need for a costly medical evacuation have placed an overwhelming burden on us.

Currently, the eldest of our band of sisters, Sophie, is the primary caregiver for my mum - emotionally, mentally, and financially - She is doing everything she can to support her. But the weight of this crisis is heavy, and she cannot bear it alone thus the need for our mum to be medically evacuated back home to Fiji.

This is our heartfelt plea: please help us give my mum a fighting chance at recovery.

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2

Every act of generosity, every prayer, and every share of our campaign makes a profound difference. From our family to yours, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us during this unimaginably difficult time.

We will provide regular updates on Na's progress and transparently share how your contributions are being utilized.

With love and deepest gratitude,

Sophie, Ray, Sala, Monika
