A mother's sacrifice: Help Ihipera keep her whānau and baby close

This page has been setup to support my sister in law and her whānau.

She was given a blessing- a third child. Unfortunately, this little blessing has been too eager to meet their whānau and has attempted to enter this world far before they are ready.

At just 24 weeks gestation, Ihipera felt her waters burst and was rushed to Waikato Hospital from Tauranga in an attempt to keep this blessing in and safe to continue growing. She is now required to remain there for another few months in a desperate attempt to pause labour and allow this blessing to develop enough prior to their arrival.

Many road bumps and complications during this pregnancy has resulted in time away from her whānau that consist of her supportive partner, 3year old daughter and just 1year old son. Her whānau roots and home are in Tauranga and she is required to remain in Waikato hospital- a 1.5hour drive away. On top of the emotional distress of being separated from whānau, the financial burdens are adding up. A lot of time off work- until the end of her pregnancy, her partner taking un-paid time off work to care for their children, as well as the travel and accomodation costs that come with the back and forth.

Our thoughts and karakia remain with Ihipera and her whānau and we are extremely grateful for your support. Any financial support would be immensely appreciated to allow this whānau to cover every day bills, travel, accomodation and medical needs.
