Sleep is supposed to be something people look forward to, for Braden it's something to fear.. please help us find the answers we need.

Otago

I guess I'll start with an introduction.

My name is Bonnie, I'm a mother to two beautiful little girls, and I'm married to a wonderful man, Braden Smith.

Braden is the reason I'm setting up this page, he is a kind, caring wonderful husband and father but over the last two years he has been experiencing sleep problems, or more accurately, an inability to wake up. For two years we have been trying to get help via the public health system, however this has just not happened. And over these years, this problem has become more and more of a nightmare, this problem has robbed my husband of being able to hold our 8month old at night, to rock her to sleep because he could fall in to a deep sleep at any second, he can not be alone with his children, he can not wake himself up in the mornings to go to work.

I love this man with my whole heart, he has helped me threw every step of the last few years. And now it is my turn to help him, but I can not do this alone.

With a single income and two young children, getting private care is not an easy task. So I'm here to ask for your help,

We have spoken with the sleep well clinic based in Christchurch, and so far before even starting, the first step is going to cost approximately $300, then there is travel costs and accommodation and the ongoing appointments until we can get our answers and get Braden the help he so desperately wants and needs.

Please, please help our family get the answers we need.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
