A new life for Mason and a new life for Matt, Di and Hope

As many of you will be aware Mason was diagnosed at 10 months old with Kidney cancer. He is now 7. Mason has spent all but 2 months of his life have surgery, long hospital stays, so many invasive medications and treatment it is hard to even recall. Mason had no kidneys and has been on dialysis and desperately needed a kidney to live. The ongoing impact of his medications and treatment was putting pressure on his other organs to work properly and things have been really really tough for Matt, Di and Hope and of course Mason ......until the call they received yesterday that there was a donor match. Mason has a transplant last night which went as well as it could of but they still have a 3-4 month stay at starship and a long road ahead. This page has been set up to help take away some of the financial pressures so that they can focus on the job that needs to be done which is looking after Mason, Hope and themselves as they finally move towards being able to live a normal life which has been impossible the last 7 years.
