A Roof for Good Foundation School - a Choose Love Ghana project

We are raising money to put a roof on a school in Ghana. We have the volunteers, we just need the materials.

We started this rebuild in 2020 and now we're going back to finish the job. The children at GFS have been waiting eagerly to get into their new classrooms and the volunteers are ready to work. We just need to buy the materials.

Plan A: If we raise the full amount, the volunteer roofing team will be able to finish the whole school!

Plan B: If we don't quite reach our target amount, we will use the funds gained to roof at least three classrooms. Additional needs include; new toilet block, repairs to sustain the old school, and electrical work in the home and school.

We will also train local volunteers to complete the work at a later date.

About us

Our charity is focused on empowering the youth of Ghana through education, sustainable living and aroha (love). This year we are putting the roof on Good Foundation School in Tetrem, Ghana.

I am a NZ qualified Teacher who is married to a Gisborne, NZ based tradesman. This whole story has resonated with me. I have a passion for children securing opportunities through education and sport, and my husband and I own a very successful Plumbing & Gasfittubg company. I love this, and the fact it has been founded by a beautiful NZ Woman who is now joined by whanau from my home town, the beautiful Te Tairawhiti! Our children and whanau here in NZ have so much. In fact, they are not aware of HOW MUCH they have. I love any not-for-profit venture that support tamariki through education and all other initiatives, so count me in Whamau! And congratulations on the obvious tenacity it has taken to continue the drive, and fight to get the Good Foundations School fully completed, furnished and fully operational! Ka mau te wehi!
