Choose Love Ghana is a Picton, New Zealand based charity that is dedicated to empowering the youth of Ghana through education, sustainable living and aroha (love).

Our original and current project is the rebuild of Good Foundation School in Ghana. GFS is a rural school in a small village called Tetrem. This school has nearly 400 students and 12 classrooms from ages 2 up to 16. In June and July this year we plan to put the roof on at least three classrooms.

Our future projects will seek out ways in which we can provide support and love to existing or new projects that have a focus on the empowerment of all youth across Ghana.

I am a NZ qualified Teacher who is married to a Gisborne, NZ based tradesman. This whole story has resonated with me. I have a passion for children securing opportunities through education and sport, and my husband and I own a very successful Plumbing & Gasfittubg company. I love this, and the fact it has been founded by a beautiful NZ Woman who is now joined by whanau from my home town, the beautiful Te Tairawhiti! Our children and whanau here in NZ have so much. In fact, they are not aware of HOW MUCH they have. I love any not-for-profit venture that support tamariki through education and all other initiatives, so count me in Whamau! And congratulations on the obvious tenacity it has taken to continue the drive, and fight to get the Good Foundations School fully completed, furnished and fully operational! Ka mau te wehi!
