A Second Chance for Lomani the island dog

  • Update #2

After much thought and intense discussion, our family has decided to adopt Lomani into our family.

Even though we weren’t looking for another animal companion we realised that with so many animals in NZ that currently need homes, it wouldn’t be right to add another to the problem.

We are all so very grateful for the amount of support we have received so far in trying to get Lomani back to New Zealand. We hope that you all agree with our decision to adopt her into the Mallard whanau

Animals Fiji vets have offered to help us with the process of getting Lomani from Nadi to New Zealand. Apparently it will take 6 weeks from when we begin this application process so they have also kindly offered to have her stay at the shelter until she leaves fiji.

The first step is getting bloods taken and having those tested in Australia which we will have done next week.

Thankyou to all of those that have given so generously so far.
