I'm getting my hair made into a wig and raising money for Te Ora Hou Northland: a charity that supports young people.
Whangarei, Northland
Kia ora koutou!
I have grown my hair long so it can be turned into a wig, as is the trend these days! I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise some money for a charity that does amazing work in our region: Te Ora Hou Northland. Te Ora Hou provide an array of services for young people, which are designed to disrupt negative cycles and create positive futures through strong relationships and reconnecting young people back into a village of support. One of their programmes, Te Haerenga, provides kaupapa Māori inspired education opportunities for a small group of rangatahi aged 9-13 who are not in mainstream school. Te Haerenga offers relevant learning and life skills, providing the space, the time, the support and activities to promote overall wellbeing.
If you would like to support me in raising money for Te Ora Hou, please donate an amount of your choice.
Watch this space for an after photo!
Ngā mihi nui

I have seen the contribution that Te Haerenga and Te Ora Hou make to the lives of rangatahi and I want to support them.
I'd like the money to go towards swimming lessons for students at Te Haerenga, so they can enjoy the water safely and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of swimming.
The big chop! 6 October 2023
It's done! A very big thank you to Lexie, at Envy Hair & Beauty, who took great care of my pony tails and crafting my remaining hair into a trendy style. Also thanks to Martin for his input. Still getting used to the look....but it's feeling very light and the shaved area at the back is lovely and soft!
Thank you Yorn!
Thanks Stephanie :)
