MY MOTHER'S FINAL BATTLE

$2,180 of $7,500 goal
Given by 14 generous donors in 11 weeks

A new chance in life in beautiful New Zealand abruptly stop but a rare terminal diagnose.

Invercargill, Southland

Edilma, was offered a new life in New Zealand, a peace and freedom that she hoped to have most of her life. A refugee journey in New Zealand came with challenges, like many others, the settlement process has been complicated, arriving to start a whole new life when you are a grown adult is harder than usual. She has always put all her effort, learning to drive and learning to the best of her abilities to understand English, she worked hard picking fruits, she refused to be a beneficiary, because she has nothing but gratefulness to this land. A couple of years ago a pain in her arm put a stop in her ability to work. After a couple of years of constantly mentioning of a pain in her arm. In December 2023 her arm started changing colors, she ended in er, starting a very painful chain of events, surgery, procedures, radiation session a broken rib and many other struggles.

I am a father of two beautiful girls, my time is for caring for my mother and my two wee girls. I made the terrible financial decision to leave work while I care for mom, I'm all she has in this country, my bosses are generous and amazing, and they will hold my job until I can return. In the mid time I have to survive with less than half of my income. August 2024 arrived with devastating news, cancer that spread, is a rear cancer that happens to 1 in a million. The best you can do to support us is sharing this page and having us in your thoughts and prayers.

The money raise will cover her affairs.
