A war in the Ukraine: please help children and the family get out of the madness

  • Your help was invaluable and was life changing for the family! THANK YOU

      9 August 2022

We wanted to give all our kind donors an update on how their generousity has been instrumental in the real change for one Ukrainian family during recent tough times up there in Ukraine.

Today New Zealand Herald has published an article on our story here:

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/astounding-generosity-how-st-heliers-rallied-to-help-ukrainian-refugees-move-to-nz/DLVU5IAVEQKK5FGM3UOYUEVAIY/

It doesn't convey, however, the entire scope of people's love, kindness and generosity we all have received over the last months, starting with this fundraising page.

We wanted to thank each and every of you for your help and support, which have been invaluable. With the funds gathered here were were able to purchase the family airfare to come to New Zealand on the 5th of June. That, however, was eventually postponed because of the airlines; and the family could only arrive to New Zedaland in the end of July (and we had to re-purchase the airfare, nearly double the amount).

But the main thing is the family with us, safely escaped the war and we are all so greatful for this opportunity to you all!

We would absolutely not being able to make it without you!

A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

  • Thank you!

      11 March 2022

My sister Ksenia's family and us wanted to thank everyone very much once again for being with us, offering your help and support and praying for our families!

Ksenia and her family are remaining in Poland at the moment, where people have been increadibly generous and supportive at all levels. Ksenia's family are trying to figure out the ways of their possible settlement there.

Thinking of the costs the settlement will bring we decided to extend the date of this page for the further two weeks, and asking you to kindly share the link in any ways you could.

    Thank you very much.

      2 March 2022

Today in the morning (local time) my sister with her family have left their temporary shelter near Kyiv and are moving towards West border.

We are just asking your prayers dear all, please, for them to pass that route safely... A lot of danger either way staying or moving.
