A wonderful Ōtaki family with huge life changing events on the go... support needed.

Talented Ōtaki teen Tama Porter has been thrown a bone - and it is extraordinarily juicy - an invitation as one of 24 students to represent NEW ZEALAND at the prestigious Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company 2023!

Tama has worked hard - busking, gigging, working, doing whatever he can to take up this amazing opportunity. He's a rising star in our midst. This Romeo deserves this break.

Herein lies the rub, his Mamma, the beautiful Charlotte Graham has been thrown a lemon. Oh she's a tough one, and a beautiful soul, one who has been nurturing the Tamariki of the Ōtaki community for years as an ECE teacher with Montessori. Always effervescent and kind, a smiling and supportive leader, teacher and lover of life. A proud Mum who is doing everything she can to support Tama.

Charlotte is responsible for wiping many tears, holding many tiny hands, and lighting up the lives of many people of the Ōtaki Community. It's our turn to hold her hand and help if we can. Every dollar will be one less they have to raise and one less stress to think about.

(Deep breath / trigger warning) - Charlotte is currently receiving treatment for Breast Cancer.

Two wonderful people, with two huge life changing events on the go. Tama and Charlotte have not asked for our help but have given their blessing for 'The Aunties' to help raise funds and this information to be shared. People of Ōtaki (and beyond), let's do this.
