Aaron’s world has been rocked upside down - battling major surgery with a long road to recovery. Let’s help make life a little easier.
Matata, Bay Of Plenty
Dad, Husband, Son, Brother, Cousin, Nephew, Mate… he’s pretty special to all of us.
Everyone who knows Aaron Wester, knows he’s just ‘a really good dude’. Always willing to lend a hand, help someone out, fix things, have a good yarn or feed a crowd with his epic BBQ skills.
And right now, he needs your help!
Aaron’s been putting up a pretty big fight for his health. In Tauranga hospital for the last 3 weeks, and likely weeks more, it’s been a rough ride for Aaron, alongside wife Rachel and wee man Theo.
And there’s a long, slow road to recovery after some pretty massive lifesaving surgery.
Work is likely to be off the cards for months, so for those who would like to contribute in any way, we’ve set up a fund to help remove some of the financial stress, so they can all focus on what’s most important.
Never one to ask for help himself, any donations and messages of love and support via the link below will be much appreciated by Aaron and family.
Aaron, Rach and Theo - you have a village of support and this is just one way we feel we can make a really rough and stressful time just that little bit easier for you. Kia Kaha, stay strong. X
Donna Hedley (Aaron’s sister).
Aaron is my younger brother.
As Aaron will likely be off work for some time, the money raised will help support Aaron’s family financially while he rests and recovers.
A big milestone… we’re home! 30 January 2022
An update from Aaron’s Mum…
We are so relieved and happy to have our Aaron home again with his wee family, after a gruelling 6 weeks in hospital.
His determination and strong mindset has helped him to overcome obstacles and the wonderful support he has received from so many kind and generous people still overwhelms us all.
As his Mum, I cannot thank you all enough and feel humbled and eternally grateful that he can now recuperate at home with Rachel and Theo.
I’m sure that he’ll continue to gain strength and that the Aaron of yesterday will be back before we know it.
Love and aroha to you all.
Ann 🥰
