Please help me fix my car

So we've made the big move and said goodbye to Auckland - getting sick of overpriced houses and the rest of it, I've given away most of our possessions, majorly downsized and moved to small town rural Northland. The only glitch...my car broke down. It's totally something out of the blue - the car belonged to a backpacking couple who sold it to us cheap before they left the country and it seemed well serviced and in good condition, but something gave and an injector busted so now it has to go to a specialist.
