We are raising funds to help send our 84 Nga Manu (Senior Students) to School Camp in October this year.
Canterbury
Do you remember how much fun your school camp was?
Parents have been working hard to get camp fees paid for their students but for some of our families this is difficult especially when they may have more than one child attending. Add this cost to general living expenses and it can get a bit stressful.
The basic camp cost $185 for each child to stay the 4 nights - this covers their accommodation, food and transport costs.
To participate in planned, fun, awesome, challenging activities (coaststeering, kayaking, do low ropes, archery, flying fox orienteering and o environmental studies) that promote leadership, self awareness and group skills the costs gets higher.
So the total cost is $250 per child.
Our seniors go to camp every second year - so either in Year 5 or 6.
If you can help in any way we would be forever grateful. Small donations would mean big opportunities for our students
I am involved as a member of the leadership team here at Addington and know how much school camp meant to me all those years ago. And I also see the concern in our parent's eyes. They work hard for their kids and our school and only want the best for them.
Our school roll is around 270 children. Reflecting the diversity of our Addington area, our whānau come from at least 30 different countries - with a huge diversity of languages, cultures, religions and traditions to our school which we value.
