Sponsor young artists from low-income families to get access to high quality afterschool and holidays Art Classes, run by a professional.
Dunedin, Otago
Nowadays Art Classes for kids, and teenagers in Dunedin are very price. The result of this is that kids who's parents have a low income can't afford to let their kids enjoy afterschool/holiday art classes. There aren't many options for Homeschooled kids/teens either. This is disappointing for many of those young creatives, and disadvantages them. It puts them in a position of exclusion. Creativity has been proven to be highly beneficial for children, and teenagers. It helps them to find creative ways to express themselves. By doing art they develop good motor skills/hand eye coordination. It is good for their brain's, and emotional development as well. I created a system with different pricing for the classes, depending on what parents actually can afford, or are willing to pay. At the moment we are in the start up phase of growing this Art School. We are operating from the King Edward Court Building in Dunedin.
I would like to invite you to give a donation to The Creative Plant - Art School. You will be helping young people to have the opportunity to learn about art, and develop their creativity in a fun environment guided by a professional, registered teacher with 25 years of experience in the field.
Thank you very much! Sofie, and The Creative Plant-Art School team.
The money will be used to set up the Art School. To cover costs of equipment, and resources to get the classes up and running. Money will go into a fund to sponsor young artists who's parents can't afford to pay the high prices of existing Art Classes.
Hello Marieke, thank you very much for your donation. You get a free art class for you and your kids.
Thank you very much Sabine, once you are back you can come and have an art class too! For nurturing the inner child artist!
Thank you Bridget!
