Hi Bariz, I admire your project and the work you and Saba have done so far to help with micro businesses in Afghanistan.

Following the recent events, I now wonder how NZers can help, I mean how, under the current circumstances, can help be delivered to the women and children in need over there? It seems unsafe for people like yourself to even consider returning at the moment. And would anyone trust money transfers to be transferred to the "right" people, ... ?? I would like to donate to help your efforts, but wonder how any assistance can be delivered.

Thanks again for your time and generosity with this project!

Hello Glen, hope you are well. Thank you for your kind words.

You're right, us returning is not an option at all. However, we do encourage NZers to chip in however much they can, so that we meet the immediate needs of some of the internally displaced in Kabul.

We will wait and see what the situation of the banks is in a week's time. The Taliban have declared that no one in the city will be harmed and things will continue as usual. We will wait and see on that front. They have advised humanitarian organizations like the UN, that they are in need of them, and that they should not worry and to continue their operations. If in a worst-case scenario, the banks are still closed, we will transfer the funds online to our contact in IOM. Then our Kabul team will overlook the situation and make sure the funds reach the right people.

We highly trust the people we coordinate with and so we have no doubt that the funds will directly benefit those in need.

Blessings,

Bariz
