Help Corina Godkin and her mission Outreach Team to support and bless Agape International Missions in Cambodia to fight sex trafficking

Bay of Plenty

WHEN: From 21 August to 6 September 2015

WHO:

A team of us (Corina Godkin, Gerardine Hyauiason, and Jolanda Datema) will be going on a Cambodian Outreach, through Justice Reach. We will be meeting up in Phnom Penh with Chris Lichti who works for Justice Reach there and Coretta a former Justice Reach DTS student. Jolanda also works for Justice Reach and is organising our outreach.

CAMBODIA is plagued with child sex trafficking. This is due mainly to poverty, and also increased tourism, and lack of employment and education.

ORGANISATIONS:

Justice Reach is committed to facilitating outreaches in order to bring God’s love, hope, freedom and justice to those trapped in Modern Day Slavery (human trafficking).

In Cambodia we will be partnering with Agape International Missions (AIM), an amazing ministry who have successfully been fighting sex trafficking for over 11 years. Their numerous projects PREVENT, RESCUE, RESTORE, and REINTEGRATE through Christ’s love, impacting 10,000+ people a year. They include a trafficking investigation team, multiple community centres, a Lord’s Gym reaching pimps and traffickers, a medical clinic, church planting, Education Centre, and an Employment Centre that gives young women a career in textiles.

We have the privilege of working with AIM in Svay Pak, a village just outside Phnom Penh that was notorious for paedophiles, as it offered little girls for sale in brothels. Since AIM has been there transforming the community and showing the power of Christ’s unconditional love at work it has improved, but the sex industry is still there underground.

OUR ROLE AND NEEDS:

We will be spending a week helping teach Kids Club to around 150 local children. We will also be supplying rice and delivering it to the 12 local brick factories where many children work. Building relationships with the locals is how AIM rehabilitates the community. All donations will be appreciated as we need to supply morning and afternoon snacks to all these children, at a cost of about $450 for the week.

Other needs that we could assist:

* Supplement the lunch of the 60 AIM staff and volunteers with protein and fruit - $950 for five days.

* AIM Education Centre require $380

* Provide local Brick Factory families with nutritional ingredients and cleaning supplies - 318 families x $4.50 = $1431

* AIM Ministry Needs $750

If you would like to learn more about the incredible work of AIM please check out their website http://agapewebsite.org/

Thank you in advance for your support through donations and prayers. We are excited for this opportunity to serve God and Agape International Missions.

God Bless
