Help Abel and his family on the road to recovery through his illness
Wellington
I have made this give a little page to help out a friend and her family.
Stacey and Scott have two children, Autumn who is 3, and their wee boy Abel who is 16 weeks.
Abel has a illness called Laryngomalacia, which is a congenital softening of the tissues of the larynx (voice box) above the vocal cords. This is the most common cause of noisy breathing in infancy. The laryngeal structure is malformed and floppy, causing the tissues to fall over the airway opening and partially block it.
This family is constantly making trips to Wellington hospital, and needing lost stays in Ronald McDonald house while their boy is having treatments and recovering from surgery.
All donations will help this family with petrol costs, food costs, child care costs for their eldest when both parents have to be with Abel in hospital, and to help cover things like rent and power when Scott is having to take days off work for his son.
All funds will go into their personal account, and every cent will help.
Thanks
I have been keeping up with Abels progress on Stacey's Facebook page, from when he was first diagnosed. It breaks my heart seeing a family going through what they are, I can't imagine how tough it is on them. I am wanting to help in any way I can.
