Please help us raise funds to create a community playground

Auckland

Ahuroa Playgroup is a not for profit organization providing early childhood education services for parent and children in the greater Ahuroa Community. We are run by volunteers within the community and certified by the Ministry of Education.

We are a growing rural community with many young families moving into the area and want to provide our preschool children and the wider community with a playground facility that is a safe place for children of all ages, parents and caregivers to meet and connect with others.

A playground will benefit our whole community as they improve the overall mental and physical health of people through activity and social interaction.

Playgrounds help youngsters learn to make friends, enjoy activities with others, take turns and share spaces with all walks of life. They are crucial for the multi sensory experiences that help build children’s brains more quickly.

We want this playground to help bring our rural community members together and enjoy the outdoors by serving as a common space for families and to provide opportunities for parents and caregivers to bond with their children in a physically engaging way that digital and tv time can’t.

Use of funds

All funds raised will be used for the purchase of playground equipment, installation and safety surfacing for a community playground.
