Kia Ora Everyone,

On May 1st 2020 , our beautiful Alcide'z was diagnosed with Bilateral WT1 Wilms Tumors In Dunedin .Over the last couple of months Alcide'z & Mum/Dad have been to Starship where baby had one of her kidneys removed to better her survival rate.

Returning to Christchurch a month ago to continue Chemo and hopefully save the remaining kidney .

Plans had been set for August 1st surgery.

Yesterday 29/07/2020 Mum (Cherish) & Dad (Leroy) recieved a call from Baby's Oncologist, with terrible news.

Alcide'z treatments will be stopped/Surgery cancelled.

This is due to her tumors growing rapidly on the kidney &

Surgery was an option but with all risks considered is now deemed to be to high of a risk of losing the kidney & Baby

(Chemo/Dialysis no longer applies to baby as she is beyond this treatment phase)

Leroy & Cherish along with their Medical Team's support have made the decision to let their Baby Girl Alcide'z go home & have a better quality of life than a higher quantity of life with whanau/Friends.
