A 36 year old mum recently diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer needs our help.
Nationwide
Our beautiful friend Alethea has just discovered she has aggressive stage IV adenocarcinoma (non-small cell lung cancer) that has metastasised to her pelvis, ribs and lymph nodes. It's taken 10 months of pain and doctors appointments to finally get sent for a scan and now surgery is not an option due to the tumour position and spread.
While she is awaiting test results to determine whether immunotherapy treatment might be a possibility, she has extensively researched her options and believes the best chance she has at overcoming this cancer is to use therapies that will repair and build her immune system so that it may eliminate the disease. She is focusing on high dose intravenous vitamin c, ozone therapy, Salvestrols and LDN. Studies are showing these treatments to be very promising in the fight against cancer but unfortunately none of these are yet funded.
Alethea has an unwaveringly positive attitude and is determined to get through this. She has a boisterous and inquisitive 16 month old toddler. Her loving partner Kelly Kahukiwa and family are supporting her but the financial burden of treatment, on top of day-to-day living, is well beyond their financial resources - approximately $700 weekly for treatment alone at this stage - which is why we have established this Give-A-Little page.
We've all been completely rocked by this diagnosis to say the least but instead of feeling helpless this is where we can step up and rally around Alethea to give her the best possible chance of fighting this terrible disease.
Whether you can give $5 or $5000 please know that it's going to an amazing person with a lot to live for.
Alethea and her family thank you in advance for your support.
Alethea is one of my closest friends who I'll be helping out and supporting in any way I can.
