Alex is responding well to the drug so we are very hopeful for his future. As he says its Onwards and Upwards.
Alex starts Radiotherapy this week to make sure all the cancer has gone from around his hip. Although this treatment is free, the cost of his drugs (until the government take over) is crippling so we really appreciate all those who are supporting us. Hi Everyone,
Alex got the results of his latest scan yesterday, and in spite of his having to stop his chemo for 2 weeks while he had his hip replaced (the cancer had disappeared from his joint) he still has a small improvement in his overall condition. Lets all hope and pray that this can be continued. Thanks so much to every one who is supporting us at this worrying time. Lorraine
Alex got he results yesterday of his first scan since he started this drug and his cancers have all shrunk so the drug is working very well.

The bad news just keeps on coming. Alex`s oncologist told him that the cost of this drug was $8000 per month, but now we find out from the pharmacy that the cost is actually $9000 per month !! Alex and Lorraine have scraped up enough for the first months supply and Alex`s brother and sisters have passed the hat around and come up with the second month supply. We pray that the generosity of the public helps us out for the rest.
