WIDance is deeply saddened by the passing of one of our dearest members Alex Smith. A beautiful woman filled with so much kindness and warmth, a writer, dancer and creator, her gentle smile and calm presence will be sorely missed.

Alexs family has requested a fund to be set up to support her passion for WIDance. WIDance is a collective organization which runs community dance classes in the Wellington region for people of all ages, abilities and disabilities. Alexs contribution as a dancer and creator as well as her support in raising funds and promotion for WIDance has been invaluable over the past 7 years.
