Alfie's cancer fundraiser

Kia ora tātou,

Ko Alfie toku ingoa,

As many of my family and friends are already aware I have been growing my hair for the past couple of years so that I could eventually get it cut and donate it to a great cause https://freedomwigs.com/hair-donation/about-contribution as well as raise funds for a charity very close to my Mum’s heart.

This charity is called Shocking Pink https://www.shockingpink.org.nz/. They are a registered charity that helps women in New Zealand who are going through or have been through breast cancer and are under the age of 45 at the time of their diagnosis. Shocking Pink has been an amazing support throughout my Mum’s journey and is very much needed because did you know that around 400 women under the age of 45 are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in New Zealand?

Shocking Pink provides amazing support for our wahine here in Aotearoa and should be recognised and rewarded for their position in our society which is why I’m doing this.

We now have a date for my haircut, and I would love your support. My haircut will be done by the amazingly talented Fran at 4.00pm on Saturday 11th November at Waterlily in Johnsonville.
