Linda underwent a total hysterectomy in January 2015, and following complications has had 2 further surgeries with potentially more to come.
Wellington
Linda underwent a total hysterectomy in January 2015 as a last resort to finally ending many years of suffering and complications. Any woman will know that this is not a decision made lightly, but at this time, was perceived as a saving grace.
Following surgery, Linda battled on-going and severe infections and then it was found that another of her internal organs was damaged and required immediate repair, so in she went for her second surgery.
Unfortunately, the second surgery was not a success, and Linda underwent her third surgery in just two months.
Following what was thought as the final surgery and her road to recovery, a month later and she has just discovered that the third surgery was, again, unsuccessful.
For three months Linda has been either in the hospital or on bed rest, with catheters in place and in a lot of pain. Unable to enjoy life with her loving family, especially her youngest son, Caleb, who is 9 years old.
At the start of the year, the Campbell family moved to make a new start and refocus on quality family time. But due to Linda's on-going medical complications, her husband Peter, the sole income earner for the family, is having to take a significant amount of time off work (unpaid) to care for both Linda and his son Caleb, fitting in work, all of the household chores and responsibilities that come with having an active young son around this.
The reduction in income, additional travelling and Linda unable to financially contribute for an extended period of time is making life even more difficult and placing strain on the family where they could do without it.
All I ask is for a little bit of love for Linda and her family to get them by during this difficult time, to feed their bellies and help them pay some bills.
Any contributions will go towards helping with travel costs, rent, food and utilities.
Linda is my mother. My mother, she is beautiful, softened at the edges, and tempered with a spine of steel, I want to grow to be just like her. She deserves to have one less thing to worry about and take a load off Dad and the stress he is feeling in making ends meet.
