Pray for our baby girl Aliya who has recently been hospitalized with Aplastic Anaemia. She continues to fight and stay strong ❤️
Porirua, Wellington
Aliya, beautiful, bubbly smart outgoing 4 year old who adores her older brother and has an enormous amount of love for her family.
Aliya has been unwell for the past week. On Wednesday 12th October Aliya and her mum flew in a helicopter to Christchurch hospital.
Aliya has been diagnosed with Aplastic anaemia.
Aplastic anaemia is a rare blood condition that occurs when your body stops producing enough new blood cells.
• Red blood cells transport oxygen from the lungs to all the cells in the body.
• White blood cells fight infection, bugs and germs.
• Platelets are responsible for stopping bleeding and bruising.
In aplastic anaemia, the bone marrow fails to produce enough red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

Aliya is currently reliant on a ventilator and has been transferred to Auckland, Starship hospital. Aliya is not out of the woods yet.
As Aliya’s health and recovery is priority at the moment we have created this page to help ease the financial pressure.
Let’s get Aliya home in time for her family to celebrate her 5th birthday on New Years Eve!
